Building a Trading Watchlist
How to structure watchlists that support a repeatable session routine.
5 min read
Start narrow
A focused watchlist of 10-20 instruments is easier to review thoroughly than a list of hundreds. Depth of review matters more than breadth of coverage.
Organize by theme
Group instruments by asset class or theme — indices, forex majors, commodities, and a small crypto set — so your review follows a consistent structure.
Review and prune regularly
Revisit your watchlist periodically. Remove instruments that no longer fit your process and add ones that better reflect current market conditions.
